Cloud b Twilight Turtle - Constellation Night Light

Cloud b Twilight Turtle - Constellation Night Light
Let your child experience the tranquility of sleeping under a bed of stars every night with the clever and unique Twilight Turtle. Fussy babies; terrified darkness-fearing toddlers; and even insomniac adults will experience peacefulness and delight as this plush turtle, positioned on the floor in the center of a room, projects a starry night sky onto ceiling and walls from the workings under his plastic shell.

The Twilight Turtle offers a choice of three soothing colors in hues that are known for their ability to encourage relaxation. |
Pressing the button on the turtle’s shell ignites the stars and keeps them glowing for 45 minutes—just enough time for children to drift off to sleep—before automatically shutting off and preserving the battery life. The Twilight Turtle offers a choice of three soothing colors in hues that are known for their ability to encourage relaxation: amber, which radiates warmth and peace; green, which promotes healing and renewal; and blue, which calms the senses. Of the three, there is certain to be one that works with the color schema of the room. From where he is stationed, the turtle emits a warm glow in the color of choice, doubling as a comforting nightlight.

In addition to its calming effect, Twilight Turtle also features an educational component. Among the clusters of stars sprinkled across the ceiling are eight recognizable constellations. The accompanying literature tells a warm-hearted story about how Twilight Turtle got separated from his father and used the constellations to find his way home, which is a nice way to introduce the constellations and encourage kids to learn their locations and how to enjoy them. An included booklet maps out which area of Twilight Turtle’s shell the constellations are projected from so viewers will know where to look for them on the ceiling. The booklet also gives a brief explanation of each constellation and its most notable features.
In the center of the sky is Orion the hunter, most easily recognizable by the three stars that make up his belt. At the 11:00 position, both Draco the dragon and The Little Dipper can be spotted. The Little Dipper is more visible because the North Star, Polaris, highlights the end of its handle. The North Star used to be positioned within Draco but movement in the skies shifted it over to The Little Dipper over time. In the upper right side of the sky (and the shell), is Canis Major (The Greater Dog), which hosts the brightest star in the sky, Sirius, at a point in the dog’s neck. Right next to Canis Major is Cepheus, a little house with a pointed roof. In the lower right quadrant of the sky, Pegasus—the winged horse—is visible. He is easiest to find by locating the square that makes up the center of his body first. On the south side of the sky (between 6 and 7:00), viewers can see two stick figure people. These are Gemini, the twins. And, finally, the best known constellation—The Big Dipper—can be found at 9:00. This is really two constellations in one as The Big Dipper makes up the tail end of the constellation Ursa Major, the Big Bear.
A unique product, Twilight Turtle makes a thoughtful and creative baby gift that help infants or overtired moms grab a few calming hours of sleep. Each turtle comes with its own certificate of adoption and runs on three AAA batteries. –Cristina Vaamonde
Customer Review: great little turtle
This little turtle is great for our one 10 week old child. We turn the turtle on at bedtime and he just can’t keep his eyes off all the stars around the room. Blue stars show up best, green a close second and the amber stars are a little fainter. I think it all depends on your paint color on your walls and the amount of ambient light in the room. Good option to have 3 colors, one will fit your decor. 45 minute glow time is good, plenty of time to get to sleep. Great buy, use every night.
Customer Review: Love this thing!
This is a great invention!! My daughter had problems going to sleep without some sort of light on. After buying this for her she has no trouble going to sleep. It is a really adorable toy. She loves learning the constellations too.

Customer Review: A moody model
I bought the R1800 as it was by far the most recommended for my printing needs. But within the first weeks it started to complain about media not being loaded properly and was struggling to grab onto any paper. I worked with it and patiently re-fed sheets when it acted up, but of course, it would then act fine for a few days (just so you wont call customer service…). Finally (at the worst moment, obviously) it completely gave up and stopped working completely. After going through the epson customer service steps, which I have to say are a bit tedious and the customer care calls a little frustrating (bad internet phone line to god knows where), epson finally agreed to send me a replacement. Needless to say (hence bad review), that one didn’t work well for more than 2 weeks. So, now I’m on the third one, without any guarantee, they quote it as out of stock and therefore replace broken ones with, yes, refurbished ones. Not really the kind of warranty you would expect with a 600 printer. Granted, the quality is great, when it prints, if it prints. Most of my colleagues agree with frustrations, most are having problems with them. But I somehow feel it should be more than just good quality, but also, stability, service etc. for this price tag. And consistency would be nice, i.e. not deciding to only allow plain paper for 2 days. Like I said - A moody model.
Customer Review: Dissapearing Ink — Very Expensive Proposition
You know how when you buy a car consumer reports now gives you an estimate on how much it costs to actually own it . . . well I hope someone would have told me about how expensive it’s to own this printer. I have owned this printer for six months and have only printed sucessfully four 12 * 12 sheets and I am out of ink. Basically if you don’t use it, the ink seems to dissapear. This is a very expensive proposition since 1) The replacement inks are expensive and 2) the printer won’t work if one of the colors is out. Also, if you don’t use this printer frequently (several times a week), you have to do this cleaning procedure to clean the print heads so the colors will come out correctly. This is cumberson and time consuming. In comparison, my HP printer has never needed this much babysitting. I wish I would have known this before investing so much money in this printer. My recomendation . . . stay away. Look for another printer that is one 1)easier to use and 2)cheaper to own!!!!
